COMING SOON! Metachromatic Leukodystrophy: New Disorder Resources and Tools

The NewSTEPs New Disorder Subcommittee is developing the Metachromatic Leukodystrophy (MLD) Toolkit to aid state and territorial newborn screening (NBS) programs in communication and education of key partners during the implementation of this new disorder.
The toolkit includes an overview of MLD and the NBS process, screening preparation and support, educational tools for MLD, and more.
The intended audiences for this toolkit are state and territory NBS programs that can distribute it amongst key partners such as specialists, advocacy groups, legislators and government agencies seeking information on NBS disorders implementation.
